Erin Branscum Knows a Good Routt County View

Don’t let the fact that she’s originally from Texas fool you –Erin Branscumknows a good Routt County view when she sees one. She moved to Steamboat in 2019 and spent the subsequent years painting local landscapes and animals, capturing the spirit and heritage of the wild West. Now, 13 pieces of her work will hang for the month of November in the Platform Gallery at the Depot Art Center. “Views of Routt County” is a mix of acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings with some photographic luster prints mounted and matted.

“I have loved living in Steamboat and being able to enjoy the beauty of it,” Erin says. “From the mountains to the ranch life, it all amazes me, and I wanted to capture a little bit of everything in my work.”
